power antenna doesn't go up
the deck is a JVC KD-ADV6270
wiring diagram says the remote turn on wire goes to both the amps and the antenna, the remote turn on wire only got connected to the amps
if the antenna is attached to the remote turn on wire as well, does that mean the antenna will go up every time the deck is turned on even though I'm only listening to a cd
my last deck would only put the antenna up if listening to the fm radio

Yep - deck on = antenna up.
Some decks have two leads - one for amp remote turn on and the other for power antenna. These radios put the antenna away when on CD.
Your option is to hook the antenna up to the blue wire out of the JVC but route it through a switch so you can lower the antenna manually. Not ideal but..
