Power wire to Solenoid instead of battery?

Power wire to Solenoid instead of battery?

Is it a bad idea to tap into wire for amps from the Solenoid (standard on Ford vehicles) as opposed to going straight to the battery. What's the downside? I'm only drawing ~100 amps if that matters.

The downside is your solenoid probably won't like 100 amps going through is and will most likely take a .

^ You hit the solenoid on the input side, the battery side.

I do this occasionally in Fords - the battery terminals Ford uses are total pieces of crap so I prefer to not disturb them cuz half the time they fall apart when ya do.
