Hi,

this is a strange problem that has me completely confused. I installed the sony cdx-gt420ip and it appeared to work fine (all options, annoying demo mode and all.) and the radio audio works fine. However, once you switch off the tuner (radio) to any other option you get no audio, (CD, AUX, or Portable) not even the system beeps. You can see on the equilizer that it is receiving the audio, but not outputting over the speakers. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Again, it has audio over the tuner, but nothing else.

That is a strange problem. I would suggest using the RESET button. Give that a go, and see what happens afterwards. Judging by pictures of the unit, the reset button is probably behind the faceplate.

Hope that solves this for you. If that doesn't do it, then the unit is likely defective.
