Sorry, forgot to add. I used 2/0 guage welding wire from Princess Auto in Hamilton at $1.29/ft(on sale), 15 feet at $18, $6 set of connectors at $12, $2 for a length of yellow shrink wrap, $6 for 2 top post connectors all at Sayal Electronics. Total price $38.00.

I wish now I'd used 1/O guage, but...at the time it looked much thicker than stock and had be twice as good as what was there before especially with stock left on. Maybe next summer if I have some more money to **** away I'll go zero guage. Hindsight is 20/20.

2 guage, man am I a dip.

Give me credit though for this and my own stereo install, I'm an accountant by trade with only analytical and little technical prowess. I do study well though and most times works out in the end.

you did a good clean job I'll give you that..if you have the time though, sand those rusty sports to bare metal where your grounds are. Then spray over them with rustproofing. you'll get cleaner connectio and it'll keep the grounds from corroding.

I used a 4 1/2 hand grinder on the frame to get to bare metal where the grinder would fit, my smaller Crappy Tire Brand Dremel where I couldnt and yes did spray with a can of black Undercoat goop where exposed to salt mostly and hand gooped the rest with Vaseline. All before pics. Was disappointed somewhat that most of my Yellow shrinkwrap was covered in goop, but thems the breaks if I don't want to do it again and again.

I figured if I took the pics after I did that, members couldn't see what I did, or that I was some kinky bastard using all that Vaseline.

Thanks Sikk Nation for the extra help. It's always a good thing to do it right the first time and should last longer that way as well.
