I haven't get a chance to go take a look at my car yet (still @ work!!)
Is the 2 screws on under the dash near by the steering or is it close to the hood release?
The services rep at the dealships said it can be "pull apart" because the plastic is flexable enough to remove the radio.. I am not sure what the heck he is talking about and the 'flexable' part doesn't sounds too good...

OK... here is what I did.
Tried to remove the 2 screws on the side (facing the door) doesn't work. BTW, it seems to be 2 pieces, one is the small appx 3" wide piece, then the main piece where cover the dash board and the face of the radio. That's the piece I wanted to remove..
However, I was able to remove 4 screws and the panel from the bottom of the 'steering cover' (where the hood release is).
But that's about it.. I am stuck.
Still have no idea how to remove the front panel.

Pulled the main panel loose. but the damn steering housing (the two piece part) is in the way. Removed 3 screws at the bottom, but still have one deep inside a hole and can't get access to it... >

Thanks FurleyII (and pinhead)...
Done. Finally get the factory radio unit out.. What a *itch to remove it... But now I just found out the wiring harness is NOT want the Canadian Tire guy told me.. $hit!
Even it is a 2000 SL2, but it is not the GM 88-02 mini wiring harness (PART # GWH-344) Now I gotta take a trip to CT and see if they have the right harness.... damn!
