Side posts?

My amp wiring kit came with an adaptor to put on virticle battery posts, but I have a 99 grand prix and its the side posts. I dont want a new battery, or to redo the wiring. Is there anything I can do?

Just get a GM side post adapter. They are available everywhere for a couple bucks.

Scroll down to the battery posts to see what they look like.

Or avaolable from any and all local car audio shops.

Can't anybody walk into a store anytmore? Do you figure that if it's not online, delivered to the door, it doesn't exist?

ive got the type of battery you screw the connection into, but my wiring kit is needs the posts. the power wire has a metal loop on the end of it, can i not just bolt that to the battery post, instead of using the clamp?

Yes you "can" do it but it's a poor connection and it leads to the factory wiring also having a poorer connection.

Anyways, if you have the original battery still it's not going to last long most likely, may be better to just buy a new battery, hook up the factory wiring to the side posts and aftermarket to the top posts.
