Sound Deadening

Where do I put it to make the most road-noise reduction.
I drive a Beretta (cheap car, think Cavalier, Neon, Focus quality of panels and deadening). I am NOT going to fill my entire car with TAR and make it weigh another 150 lbs.
I would like to know what materials to use on those areas too. I recall being in the Chat once and someone was developing something to spray in the wheel wells that was pretty light. Maybe it was captCanada but I can't remember; it was a while ago. I would like materials that EVENTUALLY dry to the touch.

I would concentrate on the firewall area first to stop engine noise. If I were to do it again, I would use somthing like L-comp or V-comp from B-Quiet. Its a has a lead based backing with foam to stop noise, not just dampen it. Then I would do a single layer of mat on the floor doors, and wheel well areas. That would be about it. Yes it will add some weight, but the difference in noise will be worth it.
That would have been me talking about the new deadening. Had a few delays along the way but looks like it will be shipping early August.

This is a type of noise dampening that you apply with a brush or spray! I ordered a gallon of it. Worked like a charm! A one gallon bucket will coat an entire trunk a couple times, depending on where you put it! Very nice price for what you get as well!
