If using tape, I have now switched to using the cheap 'duct' tape found in dollar stores. It's more like electrical tape (vinyl). It's usually red or orange, is wide, and there is a ton on a roll for $2 or less. It's also a little thicker than masking tape so it won't tear or stick to the cured fiberglass. If anyone has used duct tape, they would know what I mean. This stuff is just a lot cheaper than duct tape. Tears easy to.

Wouldn't the experts at Audio Experts AVU be able to tell you how to do a tub in a Cav?

Well I don't know him to comment on that but it is nice to see people bring their old systems out, it seems to have stood up well to time. How many years ago was it installed ?

Bryce ? Anyone know how old the install is ??

It's rare to see carpet stand up that long.

Hi my name is Jade and I am the manager and installer for Forbidden Audio & Performance in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island and I have been glassing enclosures for quite some time! The tape issue is the right path except that for a flawless!! install put a full covering in cheap duct tape, then atleast two full coverings of packing tape. The duct tape will stick to almost anything and the packing tape will not dissolve with resin like the duct tape.
I used to work for Audio Concepts Mobile on 32nd ave in Calgary for quite some time but I couldn't handle the weather.
