Speaker adapters/Spacers

I need to make/ have some one with a router make me two 6x9 to 6.5" adapters for a 06 sebring sedan. I would like the speakers surround flush mounted and nice. Who would I approach about having this done. A small job like this is not worth me buying a router for.

you may be able to find a used router for $50
I dont think anyone will do this for you for under that price any way. oval adaptors for 6x9? not easy to do with out a special jig too..

I gather you want to install 6.5 inch coaxials in the rear deck? why not just buy some 6x9s?.
Your main sound should come from the front, spend your money there. If you want some rear fill there are many good 6x9 out there with silk dome tweeters. for example the Polk Db series. not too expensive.

totally off
This is for putting high end 6.5 in place of factory 6x9 in the front doors for mids.
Tweeters are going in the dash. I am undecided but for now am not going with rear fill, I rather have the front stage run actively.
This is all I am looking for, it could be done with a jigsaw I just want to have the speaker flush mounted and have it a bit nicer.

If someone came into my shop looking for these I would probably charge an hour labour for both. Check out your local shops.

Buying a router is looking better and better (or do it the ghetto jigsaw way)

One hour to do both adaptors. $60-100 for the pair depending on where you are.

If your door panel covers it, I'd do it ghetto style. On all my previous installs, I've made spacers with 3/4" MDF and a jigsaw, all in less time than it takes to drink a beer

Thats what I ended up doing, not ghetto but not how I wanted, ended up finding access to a router but decided it wasn't necessary. For the time I spent on the jigsawed spacers I really wish I had now, would have been great to flush the speakers and run a half inch round around the spacers.

I made one to fill the original hole and make a nice stable resonance free mount, sealed and surrounded with clay. Then made another round speaker ring to go on top also decoupled with clay to mount the driver too.
This gave me a little more then the needed clearance and made fitting the door panels a bit harder. However now I have approx 2" spacers solid as could be with re-leafs cut around the back of speaker so it doesn't get choked by the thick baffles. Sounds good with the deadened doors etc.
Threw the tweeters in the dash where the stocks resided, and decided this weekend I think I will do some A-pillar pods and see if I can get better imaging.
Anyone have any recommendations on good sources for either suede or nice vinyl?
