speaker cut out sizes

just wondering, do 6x9s have a standard cut out size? i've got two paris that i've randomly acquired but have no idea what the cut out size is. one set is from a 98 plymouth voyager and the other is oooold, from the JBL Livin Loud series, i think, too lazy to check right now. either way, is there a standard or even a general size to go by in order to cut a hole for it? i was thinking of just using some solder or a wire hanger to form a stencil around the speaker and then use that, but i was hoping there was an easier way...unless thats the easiest

trial and error.. use a cardboard cut out.. Thats what i do before making holes in the car/ box. The depth is about the only thing that changes with 6x9
