Thanks for all the great advice guys, great info to go shopping on. I will definitly be replacing my head unit, as it is quite lame and I want it to be able to do mp3's and satellite. Looking into what kind of system I can get for the $$$ now based on your guy's advice.

Another 2 questions cause you guys have been so helpful,

1) If I try and install myself should I just put a single piece of sound deadening material (I see lots of 10-12" squares) right behind the speaker, or insulate the whole inside door? Will doing the whoile door make that much difference? The truck is pretty quite inside, at least compared to my civic.

2) What kind of prices are the norm for installs? I realize like everything else you probably get what you pay for, but I am debating wheather it is worthwhile to do myself, or get done by a decent shop.

Thanks again guys, very helpfll info!

Hmm, I've seen lots of speakers die in one year and even less from all brand names. 99% of the time it was from customer abuse. A speaker gets tired after continuous use and abuse but by no means is any one speaker bad because of one particular experience with a brand. If I had to knock a line over a speaker dying on a customer in a year or less, I would not have any speaker lines to sell to a customer. Focal and Quart and others are all respecteable speakers, buy what you like the sound of and treat them properly.
