hey guys. i just got a couple questions i was wondering about.

i know that a sub enclusure is loudest at a certain frequency depending on the box. how do we find this frequency. is it that frequency u use for spl competions?

also. how do u test the real wattage output of a amp?

 

Well i can take a stab at your first question..

Get a Bass Mechanik cd with all the individual frequency tracks.. which ever one sounds loudest will be the approx frequency of the box.

Now if your looking to build a box, use a program such as winisd , and let it calculate the port for the frequency you wish to use. I tuned mine to 30hz, and when i feed the power to my subs, it hurts!
