woooow.. you have the poential here to hit VERY loud at spl comps, or just for everyday driving. do NOT change any equip. you have the stuf you need. it's ALL box work now. go to a nice ported box, i'd say around 3-4 cubes, tuned low around 32hz or so. you will have STUPID street bass coming from those.....

one word: Vifa, one 12 is MORE then enough for me, its only 400 RMS, so four of those is 1.6 kilowatts RMS. that plenty. four of those is deadly bass. Ask Rob, he sure thought my Vifa was awesome sounding, Deep and loud for a 12"er. there like $70 each too.
DHB,
I may be biased but I'll agree with some of the other replies in that you should work with what you have. The TS-W5000SPL is one of the loudest subs on the planet & the scores you've been getting (if they are accurate) are not what you could be getting. I would recommend you look at building a ported enclosure or even a bandpass (if you want it REALLY loud!)
I can provide you with the T/S parameters if you are planning to do the work yourself or any Pioneer retailer in Ontario has access to them.
Pioneer recommends that a ported box be 2.0 cu ft with a 4" port & a 2.5 cu ft bandpass also with a 4" port. Both of these have +/- 10% leeway as well.
Good luck!
