I saw it done once, and they used 3M spray glue, #77 iirc, and just glued the suede to the existing headliner.

Its pretty ghetto, and if you decide you dont like the look, you are screwed as itll destroy your headliner taking it off.

Someone here may have a better solution, but thats my 2 cents.

I figured there would be no shortage of people to do this in BC. Try looking for interior/convertible top specialists, most will be able to handle your job

^^^ That's the way I did it. I thought it turned out fairly well, compared to the falling apart fabric that was blocking my view out the rear of the car. I guess i should mention that my headliner didn't have any crazy geometries so it was pretty easy to upholster.

You can take the headliner out without damaging it, but it is delicate. You can do this yourself if you have patience. Or you could find a professional and decide if you are willing to pay for his/her expertise.

did it myself. l had to redo the foam, trouble with that is getting foam wide enough. used the 3m spray after 3 yrs still holds up.

dont be cheap with the spray , once you lay the material down, its a pain to redo. bought sude like stuff from fabricland 1/2 price.it takes 2 people to stretch the fabric across then smooth.

ever thought about painting your head liner? I just did it to one in a Honda, the guy wanted to change the entire colour to black and white from blue and gray, used paints from a company called Hi-Tech, the paint works for Carpet, vynal and plastic. it left it pretty soft, and there is very little prep
