super tuner 3 help.. checked manual, emailed pioneer.. last resort!

before you flame or something, know that i have done everything and tried everything before asking. searched everything, and searched my manual. no dice.

i have a super tuner 3 by pioneer, model number avh-p66000dvd. I bought it thinking it was a nice deck, and i could hook up my ipod. well im not too sure now

here are 2 rca outputs in the back, to which i have connected an aux to. i cannot use ext1 or ext 2 as my source and it is driving me crazy. how do i use ext1 or 2 as my source? or is there already an aux input?

i can select aux as my output, but nothing happens. so i think i can set ext1 or 2 as my source, but it doesnt seem to work.. can someone help me i feel like i just wasted half a grand on this deck

Page 95, bottom right corner it tells you that you need to buy an adaptor for the IP-Bus input that converts to RCA input.
