To answer everyone questions I would say call Raymond Knight @ SVA power products/Brantford alternator and starter, he helped me decide what I need in an alt for my 1991 civic, he is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to vehc electrical systems and he wont try to sell you **** you dont need. id say it depends where you live. Rob vo in calgary(loud brown kicker colt) and team sahdow in vancouver. but you can always go anywhere you like and get it shipped accross the country

You might want to check with your dealership first if your truck is under warranty. I was told that upgrading or adding a second alt. would void my warranty. " due to the extra current that the car cannot handle and will fry the computers". why you want so much power anyways? for a plow?...no! it is an intrepid!
