you can never go too big with an alternator
the amperage output should be 117amp standard
and 136amp optional.

To answer everyone questions I would say call Raymond Knight @ SVA power products/Brantford alternator and starter, he helped me decide what I need in an alt for my 1991 civic, he is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to vehc electrical systems and he wont try to sell you **** you dont need. His products are also top notch and the shipping is very, very fast!

So you're saying somehow that adding a second alternator will make your car's accesories/computers to somehow magicly draw more current?

Please explain as this is new to me?

It won't...an alternator is a passive power source...it won't provide any more power unless it's "asked" to.
