trouble with stereo

hey! Does anybody know what could be wrong with my stereo, it has been installed in my car pontiac grand am 2003 at canadian tire and worked perfectly for a day,next morning i couldnt turn it on reset button didnt help,however i tryed to turn it on again in afternoon and it worked without any problem, next day there was same problem i couldnt get it work till afternoon. By the way the system is powered up,cuz then i hit display button it the light comes on sry for n0obJke question

you had it in stalled at crap tire ??? theres yoyure first issue you may have a class 2 data radio, and requrire the proper module for the acc turn on

That is his problem in my opinion. Take it back to crappy tire and tell them they didn't do a proper install job, and get them to fix it.

The very first install I got of a head unit was from Canadian Tire. They literally pigtailed the wires together and wrapped them in a single layer of electrical tape.

Not the way to do it.

The problem is probably a ground issue. That would make for the account of it randomly cutting out - I recently fixed a bad ground in my car and that was one of the major symptoms, along with a fuzzing of the sound at random intervals. Their little tape solution probably didn't hold, or they used an improper ground is my bet.

Completely forget about canadian tire. Just look up in the phone book under audio, and something about car audio will come up, and just go to them. Unless someone knows a good audio shop around his location.
