Wanted to Buy and Install - Dedck with USB/Ipod and Bluetooth
I'm in Toronto, I have a MB C230 with great speakers amps, and subwoofer and a Telus Blackberry 8830. Here's what I'm looking for in a deck:
- USB and Ipod connectivity and readability of MP3, WMA and AAC
- Bluetooth connectivity with my Telus Blackberry 8830
For some strange copyright related reasons Telus blocks bluetooth connectivity with audio decks like JVC and Alpine (one kenwood deck seemed to have no issue connecting). I asked them what the ****, I drive stick and talking on the phone with my handset is a serious safety issue. But I got no help from Telus on that issue.
Anyway, I went to see the folks over at 12 Volt Car Audio and Security on Steeles Ave West just west of Weston Road.
They suggested that I buy and install an Alpine CDA-9886 deck together with a parrot bluetooth into my C230. They assured me that the parrot bluetooth would connect with both Blackberry 8830 and the Alpin CDA-9886, but they didn't have a parrot display for me to test it out.
Anyone have any experience with this and/or suggestions of what is guaranteed to work? I'm willing to spend $600 for the right solution installed.
Thanks,
R

Bluetooth sucks. Places most times have to buy rights to phones so not many get done.Best I can say is find a deck you like the best get it and use a phone on the list it says it can use. OR You can look for a deck that works with a phone you have or can use to replace the Blackberry with
OR
parrot bluetooth have not been told nothing about it.If it works get the deck you want and use it as long as you can.
A deck is a personal hands on thing I find. They may be nice but only if you can use it!! if it dont work with you it will never do.
