Exclamation What Am I Doing Wrong???

I just recently purchased a POS head unit(Innovatek 391MP3) for my 1995 Astro AWD and i'm having some trouble with the wiring. I soldiered it to the factory wiring harness and it works but i am getting poppng in the speakers when i shut my van off and also when i but the key in when the vans not running it makes the sound as if my door was open and the key is in the ignition?? This is leading to my vans battery being dead when i let it sit for more than an a couple of hours! Does anyone know what the problem is? Excuse my english i'm a little twisted right now! This is how i wired up the harnesses:What Am I Doing Wrong???-wiringharness.jpg I don't know if that helps but i tried to draw it up as best as i could!

If there is no power antenna in your van, try removing the power antenna fuse from the harness, see if that helps.

I bought a POS HU because its my work van..no need to spend much on her!

Would the power antenna wire cause all of these problems i am having? Also i might need a new battery but that doesn't explain the door open sound or the power surge i'm getting when i shut off the engine.

To be blunt, the deck is junk. I have people wander in all the time with this stuff: Pyle, Jensen, etc and I always explain that they have about 50% DOA right out of the box and yes they will still have to pay for the install and yes I will charge them another install to put in another deck.

When a person can get a name brand CD player for $99 I have to wonder just how cheap this crapola is for people to buy it.

What's wrong with Pyle or Jensen ? Their stuff works just fine for what it's worth. I I have used a few or their subs and amps with no issues, never came across and pyle hu's yet.

In fact I have done an alarm crap test about 8 years ago with two alarms and after 7 years my findings were incomplete. I bought a tiger car alarm (reboxed
Audiovox) for $99 and a Viper 300+ for just a little under $400. Both alarms had the same options other then the viper had an internal shock sensor and the tiger had an external shock sensor, which I though that the internal shock sensor was a downside as it was part of the alarm’s brain on the viper limiting install locations and ease of adjustment.

Both alarms had the same remote range and battery life. The sirens on both alarms even had the same multi-tones. Needless to say over 7 years both alarms been installed in two cars without any problems. Not bad for something the cost almost $300 less.

Were we discussing amps or woofers> nope. Decks. Their decks are junk. IF you get lucky and it actually works right out of the box, you'll be lucky if it lasts half the warranty period. Build quality is total too - nasty controls and faceplates that barely hold on.

Tiger alarm?
The reason most experianced installers may seem bias to brand name stuff is because we have installed thousands of radios. Every brand! when we have trouble-shoot some poor kids innovec (or whatever there called) deck thats 2 weeks old, It takes up our time, and our customers time. We generally tell the customer in advance that installing this unit is a bad idea.
I feel bad when a kid has to pay me $48. for install on a $60 deck. A month later he has to pay another $48 to get another deck installed. It doesnt make sense.
How many Bull dog remote starters have i seen with relays that stick! Thanks wallmart!
We sell brand name decks for $100 dollars. with a year warrenty. And free ins
tall of your factory deck when you sell your car.
Every week I get customers stop by with these wierd "flash in the pan" car starters and alarms. there remotes are dead, or there starter is hanging on. Its hard to survice a product that has no manual or no website.
