If you had to rate the difficulty of deck install in this car, what would it be outta 10 (10 being impossible, 1 being piece of cake) cause I have heard that its a hard car to work on

The deck wasn't hard at all. A proper plan and research always helps.

BTW the deck is cool for a general JVC double din.

3) make sure you have more supplies then you need
4) Cover all the trunk panels - even the outside.
5) Don't Rush the job.

I told him to make sure when installing for SQ to make sure you:
1) Run 0 gauge through the firewall without a gromet but use silicone
2) Make sure all 12volt exposed areas are highlighted with green neon.
3) Always test your system with no passive crossovers on tweeters
4) Buy an Alpine HU - they are the shizzz
5) 36 Fi Q's in a HONDA FIT with 4 JBL GTI 6000 will hit 190 db

2)its yellow, not green(proven fact yellows louder than any other color)

3)if the tweeter breaks when u hook it up to a 110 socket to test it...should it really be in ur sq car?

4)alpines poo, buy koss(sq is koss, everyone who tells u different is lieing, they have fake faces made to cover there secret weapons.)

5)36 anything in a fit will destroy the car...lol

anyways, spl is where i fit in i guess, theres to much little time consuming things that need to be done with sq, like hiding wires and what not. Spl, plug it all in, check it, it works, ok leave it...lol

Looks really good man. That deck is awesome. The SD card feture is the greatest. In my car I have two 16 gb SD cards, one for music and one for movies. No more clutter with cd's and DVDs.

Your boxes turned out really well. How many hours spent?

The thing I always hate about jobs like this, is giving the car back to the customer when it's done.

One important tip you forgot to mention. A good box of disposable gloves and some eye protection.

The all time best helper for any project like this is by far beer, and lots of it.

Again dude, great work, truly a work of art.
I like how there's still room in the trunk for my hockey bag.
I left just enough room for mine in my trunk. I think that is very important.

Thanks, hard work and prep paid off.
Hours somewhere around 30-35 on the boxes.
The eye glasses and gloves were part of my supplies list. Thanks for pointing that out.

Thanks - customer is happy so I'm happy.

I used to be narrow minded like you. Till this time last year when I bought the JVC kw-avx810.
Anyone who has this deck would back me up. I'm not sure about there single din's but my 810 and this years 820 are two of the best HU's I've ever seen.
Before you go calling someone narrowminded you may want to actually mention which model of jvc headunit your running because until now you just mentioned the model number in your response I had no way of knowing what unit you were running and I assumed just a run of the mill jvc am/fm cd unit like you would find at best buy or something of that nature. And if that was the case then to me it would have been a waste to use such nice equpment in conjunction with a medicore source unit. Now that I see your using of the top of the line A/V JVC models I can imagine that its not to bad, does that deck have an optical out and if so will you be using it? What kind of processing will you be running?
