Will this work?

I have a Ed 10" sub in a 1/2 cu/ft sealed box. I just picked up a new amp so I want to try doing an new install in my Grand Prix.

My plan is to leave the sub in the box, build a wall around the box to mount my amps to. Then take another board with holes in it for the sub to stick through and holes so you can see the tops of the amps. There would be 3" between the 2 boards so the amps have air circulation and also so I can mount plexi over top of the amps. I would then cover the board with the holes in it with cloth or vinyl.

So when you open the trunk you will see the covered board with the plexi over the amps and the surface of the sub.

Here is a pic of what I have just sitting in my trunk right now.

as long as everything was secure, I don't see why that wouldn't wokr out, and give you what you want.
