wiring 4 SVC's

I'm thinking of buying a 2500W x 1 @ 2-ohm amp for four woofers that handle 670W each. They are all single voice voil 4-ohm, will this amp work?

wiring them down will net a 1ohm load not a 2ohm load irrc
since the amp is rated down to 2ohm i'd say not so good

The amp was an 06 Kicker ZX 2500 for $580. I want 1 amp, something that sounds good but I dont want to spend over 500. Any suggestions?

I belive the ZX's are not 1 ohm stable. You need KX2500.1

If you wire 2 subs in series you will get an 8 ohm load. Wire the other two subs in paralell (2 ohms), then connect the two pairs in paralell. This will give you an impedence of 1.6ohms, your best option, IMHO.

I would highly recommend against this as an uneven ammount of power will be distributed among the subwoofers

It will also give you 2 subs getting less power than the other 2.

Is that so.... hmm guess I will have to come up with a new plan for myself as well. So the only option with 4 svc subs at 4ohms is a 16 or 1 ohm load?
