I am getting power from my headunit to my amp, and it is all ready to go, but nothing is going to the subs. ive got a 1200watt ultimate amp and 2 sony 12 xplods, but im having trouble with the wiring. i bought cheap 10$ wiring from canadian tire, and it isnt doing anything. im not sure if im wiring wrong, or what? on the amp there is speaker a and speaker b, with a + and - port for each speaker. i just have no idea what to do next! help!??!

single voice coil sub wire it like this to amp

make sure you have all your wire in the correct place and good contact. check your rca's your remote everything. check you gains on your amp but dont peg them b/c when the subs start working you will hurt them.

does your sub have 2 voice coils ie

ok r your subs dual or single voice coil? How many ohms r the vc and at what ohm does your amp put out 1200 watt? If u can find that info i can help u out.
But like trk2loud said check your rca's and make sure your amp is getting power.

I would suggest buying a good 4AWG install kit....

The $10.00 Canadian tire kit will not allow your gear to work to its potential.

no, i think that speaker wire is speaker wire ..although size does count...you should still ahve sound even if the speaker wire is a little to small..unless you have the speaker wire hooked up wrong...

im about to do the same, but the 90$ installation fee isnt too inviting haha . the remote wire and red power wire are hooked up, but the black ground wire was left alone by my buddy, and in place is a thick grey one attaching to something under my back seat. dont know if that could be the problem, but im open for any advice right now, on my last straws, haha. the amp is getting power, green light is on..etc etc, so ive got no idea what else to do. the back of the subs have push putton inserts, with 1 + and 1 - slot..if that helps. any thoughts/suggestions?!

thanks a million people!

try changing your rca's (red, white) at the deck..if there is multiple pre-outs, you may have your cables on the wrong pair of pre-outs...as for the grey wire, make sure that the place where it is connected behind your seat has had all the paint scrapped off of it so it is just the bare steel touching the wire/connector.
