Would like some help. New Equipment.

I have recently perchased an Alpine v12 MRV100M Amplifier, 2 10" pheonix gold subs, an MTX DUAL sledghammer 600 watts rms subwoofer unit, 2 MTX 6x9 speakers, 2 MTX 5.25 speakers, and a pioneer 6800MP deck.

My question is how many amplifiers should I have running this equipment. I already have the 1 Alpine and I am wonering if I need 2 more amplifiers to run the MTX subwoofer and the MTX speakers.

did I read that right that you are running a pair of phoenix gold subs as well as a pair of mtx subs? or do you have the 2 phoenix gold subs in an MTX sledgehammer enclosure?

hmmm well if you just want to get going you might be able to wire all 4 subs to the amp.... but it depends on the voice coil configurations... (what resistance are they? DVC?)

But, If you want to run 4 subs Id try to get 4 of the same...... also that amp isn't very powerfull and unforunatly you can't use it on mids or highs either....

Id probably aim for a single sub amp and a 4ch for the rest...

What model are the subs?

That amp is not very powerful, you may have to look for something bigger.

Also, mixing subs usually ends up sounding like crap.
