okay i hae installed car systems like ..... 30 - 40 times... its really really easy... but it seems that the latest install on my car isnt working like i would like it to... instead it blows everthing up... i had 2 12" audiobahns GONE! 3 eclipse amps gone....an MTX 6500D gone... i just dont get it ... there is only one way to wire an amp.... gnd, power, remote, Left, Right, speaker outputs.think thats it .... is it possible that my ground isnt enough? will that blow an amp?...rcas ?....im running out of ideas help PLEASE

Your ablahns are probably shorting the amps as they play.... either a coil scrapping or perhaps shorting tinsel leads, or maybe your wiring is shorting out.... this in turn can cause amplifiers to fry... [img]graemlins/cry.gif[/img]

I only fried an amp once and that was due to a bad ground

^^^^^i am with yaa on that! talk about not givving the industry members credit and then asking for help. not very nice 88rex. it would be impossible to tell u what to do unless someone could look at the install themselves and test it for things like impedance and so forth. should not be to hard to figure at that point!

what car ?
some cars have + as ground but i do not think you have an old car like an M G

recheck all your wiring. make sure the speakers are not to low of a load for the amps to drive and look through the manuals again to make sure you didnt miss anything.

guessing from the name it's an 88 rx7

If it's an rx7 let me know how you got the power wire to the back because I'd like to know how you did it because I can't find any firewall holes in my rx-7 beside the main wire harness and there is no way I'm getting anything in there.
