West new to site, seasoned audio addict veteran!!

Im 40 something now, I have been bitten by the audio bug for over 25 years.! OUCH!! im getting old!!! My first "system"( if you call it that, back in 84' they were just "stereos")was in a 76' Duster. I had a Pioneer "supertuner 2" digital am/fm w/ cassette, 6 1/2 3-ways in doors and a pair of 12" Cerwin-Vega home stereo speakers on the rear seat. Dont laugh! this was a common way to get bass in your car back then, but turned my car into a 2 seater!! The first real system I saw was in a guys Toyota Carolla 4 door wagon, he had Nakamichi stuff in it, the license plate read " IT ROCKS". One listen, and I was instantly addicted!! That experience must have been profound! I quit blowing all my money on crap, and started buying car stereo stuff . I had boxes and boxes of Car Audio & Autosound & Security magazines!! Back then you didnt have a fraction of the choices that are avaliable today, so dont laugh when I say I had Urban Audio amps and Fisher 15" home stereo subs in the back of a 80' Monza! When I got a little older and got a real job, I spent my first "real" money on a top of the line Pioneer "Premier" deck, a Clarion 4 channel amp, and a MTX wedge box w/ 2) "Terminator 12's", Sansui 6 1/2" door spkrs. That cost me $1200 in 1989. I still smile when I think about cruising around in my jacked up 1982 Toyota 4x4 standard cab, with that box in the passenger seat, facing me, of course!! It didnt work out to well for picking up chicks, but I was the life of the party at kegger's and beach parties, my buddies rode in the back and girls to, if they were a little wild!! When I was 25, I got a real good job and was able to indulge my addiction!! I had a 1991 civic 3-door with MB Quart 1",4",6" in front powered by a Orion XTR 2150, and 3 JL 12w6's powered by a Orion "Beast" XTR 2250, Eclipse 5303 head, Audio Control x-overs,line driver, and parametric eq. I remember being one of the first to get this head unit,my local shop had ordered 10 of them at the SEMA show and they werent going to be in America for 6 mo. I had to pre-pay $600 to get one. It was the absolute pinnacle at the time, ESN, rotary ****, 4v. pre-out,motorized face and feed, disc name memory, no amplifier,on and on. I still own that stereo and it is the best ive owned, ever! Eclipse was just getting started back then, this stereo changed the game! Same goes for my Eclipse titanium coned subs with triple stack magnets! These are pieces of art!! I had to pre-order them too!! Paid $700 for 2 10" subs and had to wait 6 mo. to get them! My girlfriend and I fought frequently about my "stupid stereo stuff" everyone thought I was nuts!! Some guys buy guns, some race cars, some ride bikes etc... I had to have a killer stereo, that was my "thing" !! Anyways, im rambling!! You're all stereo guys here, you get what im saying!! Wait, dont you?
