Are you running it wireless? If so try it with the cord... either to the router or the modem? Probablly will help

Alot of times it has more to do with connection speed,If someone in your online room is laggy it ruin's it for the whole room.That said i do believe PS has dedicated servers for each contenent.Try upgrading your internet connection.

Xbox live gamertag: PF RockSolid - I mainly play Modern Warfare 2 and a little Battlefield here and there. I'll be playing Battlefield Bad Company 2 next week if anybody else is picking it up when it comes out...
