1/0 welding cable cheap

Hopfully this isn't a repost, but I was checking out the online princess auto flyer and saw that they have 1/0 welding cable on sale for $1.79/ft til April 3rd. Anyone looking for big cable for their stereo might be a good opportunity for you. 990 strands, 350A max

honestly, with that many strands I can seeit burning up in fairly short order, copper that small has a high resistance, and if there is any kind of bad connection, or even some strands that are longer or shorter than others, that will cause heat, and burn those tiny strands right off.

Sassmaster,
Open up your mind to the reality that the wire has that many strands.....
1/0 AWG wire from P/G, Lightning Audio, Stinger, Streetwires and Rockford all have over 4000 strands.
In regards to the wire 'burning up'.....what are you basing that on? I appreciate your opinion but the topic is not very subjective, your ignorance on this topic is very obvious.
I have seen pro-level vehicles with 24 to 48 batteries and multiple alternators using this wire and they seemed to have no problems.....Also the manufactures of the 1/0 AWG cables probably did some type of testing of the wire before putting it to market.

I base my oppinion on the fact that I am an electrician, and I work with wire every day. My "ignorance" comes from a thorough knowledge of ohm's law, and of how electricity works. so you've seen pro level vehicles with 24-48 bateries and mutiple alternators using this wire, I'm impressed, I've also seen pro level vehicles where the workmanship was so poor it is shameful.
I have no doubt that they make wire in many strands, I've seen all kinds, from solid 2/0 to multi thousand conductor cables, to 4"x1/2" bussbars paralleled. Tiny stranded large guage wire is kind of like aluminum wire, it works, and when applied properly it works well, but applied improperly, it can be dangerous.
