OK, my moms has a 2001 intrepid r/t for which she's told there's only one tire. I beleive the tire is a 225/55/17. The car is in the process of being bought out as she leased it or whatever. The tire she told, is $240 installed.
That's somewhat pricey for a tire, is that seriously the only option that'll work on that car (i find hard to believe), or is that just dodge saying, because it's an R/T you require this speed rating and we like this company so you can only use that tire.
Is there any reason not to go to another tire....assuming we stay within the size and requested speed rating. Surely there's gotta be better deals or cheaper tires out there. She doesn't exactly drive crazy.

the 911 tires are $600 each for the speed rating that it needs
my suv needs 250 a tire
but go out and look for 225/55/17 you will need to know what speed rating you need look to see if you have something like a Z H P next to the # 225/55/17
i would not get the tires off dodge but the 240 is not that bad you mite fine it for less BUT GET THE SPEED RATING THAT THE CAR NEEDS

i'm about 95% sure it's a speed rating of V not that she's ever gonna go that fast. And searching online, i've seen prices ranging from 150cdn to 280 for that size/speed rating (before installation and balancing)
