My friend has 18x8s on a '01 Cavy...Slammed, no rubbage at all.

Not sure about the older styles, though.

17" is more expensive for rubber being it's an odd size.

18's look great on almost anything....20's would be dumb, 18's should be just right.

Here are pics of my car... 90 Z24, with 16x7 rims with a 38mm offset. Tires are 225/50x16. I have never had a problem with rubbing in the front, but the back bottoms out on big pot holes.

17's are cheaper than 18's the 'odd' number size makes no difference.

bigger the rim... the more expensive the rubber.... just that simple... 17" are very cheap.. since everybody uses 17's.... now 20's are even getting common...

its about supply and demand.. 17s or 18s look good on everthing really.

Go with either.
