I try to be as open minded as I can, I try to listen to many different styles of music, and I do...I listen to everything except country, I can't stand country.

Anyway, I have Rogers digital cable. It sucks ***, but it does have all the music channels in the 900's like sattelite does, which I like very much.....except for lately.

I was sitting in my chair around 1:00 am the other night ( I work 4-12) listening to the "hit list" kinda not paying much attention when my wife said, " hey listen to this song...it's terrible".

So sure enough, the song comes on, and I couldn't stop laughing, then, it kept going, it wasn't a joke....I HAD to change the station, but that wasn't enough, it stayed in my head and it's still there.

The song is called Fidelity by Regina Spektor.....if you have a chance, dowload this song and tell me it's not the worst crap you've ever heard in your life.

I need to talk to her record label, cause I've gotta get the phone number of thier drug dealer...I could make a fortune selling thier stuff, it actually makes people think that music is good.

I mean, I'm all for supporting your kids and letting them do what they love, but there's a point where reality has got to kick in. You know what I mean, I have 2 kids, if one of them wants to play hockey and he gets all signed up and they try to teach him to skate, but he can't, and after a year or 2 he still can't skate, I'll sit the kid down and say " hey, maybe this isn't the sport for you"......what happened to this girls parents? Don't they care? Perhaps they are deaf? I don't have the answers, but someone has to put an end to this kind of stuff, it's embarassing.

Anyway, I'm done but PLEASE try listening to this song with a straight face...I dare you.

 

Welp i just found that video on youboob, and well i can deal with her singing of that song. You want bad listen to any Hot hot heat song, that lead singer just needs to quit or kill himself...

 

the song is kinda hurtin still, but its not worse than most of the garbage out there now anyways.

It's funny that you posted about this song. I NEVER and I mean NEVER listen to the radio, cause I buy CDs. If I like something I will buy it and listen to it. Most stuff I listen to either isn't played on the radio or if it is I own it. So today I had the radio on, on the way home just cause my daughter was being whiny in the back seat and this song came on. My God, I thought I was going to shoot myself after like, two seconds of the chorus. Not only is her accent irritating, but the chorus made me want to kill myself! lol! And the video makes the song even worse.

Yea man, I can't believe this person makes music.

She actually has a website, unfortunatly, and you can listen to some of her music there.....you HAVE to hear the live version....it makes the radio version sound like Enya compared the live stuff....my god, can anyone get a record deal these days? If so I'm set....I'm gonna do covers of rock songs.
