Advice needed on a drill
Ryobi is another good set as well, I I think I have dropped everything in my set dozen or more times not really nicks to it and as a bonus still works.

i'd take a look at a bosch drill man they are the shiz, i have a 14.4 bosch that i got during my shaw cable days the thing kicks alot of 18v drills a$$es, i used it for everything drillin thru walls, concrete, wood, metal. i've had it for 3 years now and it still works just as rad as it did the first day i had it, killer rugged i've dropped it off my 28 foot ladder back in the day and i still use it today at work mount subs an drillins holes an all that fun stuff, its a killer quality drill
I think that you may find that the 18V drills are loaded with gobs of delicious wood ripping torque. But that they are freakin heavy too. Try working with one of them all day, holding it above your shoulders working on stuff and you'll feel it.
A lighter 14.4V drill may suit your needs just as well and will be lighter both in weight and on your wallet.
I got an 18V drill because I end up drilling a lot of stainless steel. But when I had it out at the cottage drilling holes through rafters to run wires my arms were sore from holding it above my head all day.
