Flights do not have customs, they have security checks which consist of metal detector and X-ray screening, but that is not customs.

speaking of customes, when i was flying out to Boston from Toronto last week I was the only guy out of the whole line up to get pulled for random search. I guess they were suspeciouse of me not having any laguage and carrying an immigrant card instead of a passport.

Yuli,
Netjets is a "high-end" competitor of Air Canada Executive First Class.
Just in case you were planning to go the incredibly rich and frivelous route...
And I get searched all the time for the same reason, so don't feel bad.

Domestic flights within one country do not have customs. They have security checks which consist of metal detector and X-ray screening, but that is not customs.
Customs deals with the importing and exporting of goods, and the passing of people across borders - immigration essentially. Customs check for unclaimed alcohol, food items (fruits and meats often prohibited) firearms etc. Customs deals with ALL the bagage you take on the plane, checked or carry on. Airport customs require you to fill out a card declaring what you are taking in with you. When you arrive in the country you have a brief interview about the contents of the card with an official which could potential lead to a more extensive screening.
NONE of this happens on domestic flights. A Domestic flight is "Put your bag on the conveyor belt - put your wallet, watch and jewelry in this tray and step through the metal detector"
