I've always liked him but I started listening to him more lately, and man, I never realized how good he plays guitar. one of the best examples for me is Cortez The Killer only because I love songs that have that "depressing" sound......That's some awesome guitar playing in that song though.

I love Cinnimen Girl. Old Man is good too, but some of his stuff is kinda cheesy.

He's got a terrible voice IMO.....but it's distinctive which is cool. cause remember all the old bands that had singers with the same sounding voice? White Snake,Motley Crue,GNR, VH etc etc....or modern bands like Default and Nickelbag.

But anyway, yeah, Neil Young is WAY underrated....is he doing any touring to Canada within the next couple years? I wanna go see him.

After the Gold Rush- is a great album, listen to it on a crappy system and it sounds good, listen to it on a HiFi rig and it is amazing for depth and image placement. I have enjoyed Neil for several decades (it all been new for me at one time or another) he was always big in the college crowd (music to get wasted to). When he is backed up by Crazy Horse his stuff rocks! Anyway I think I have around 4 albums and 3 Cds of NY. His singing is kind of mosquito-like but there is an inner beauty to it. Hes OK for a Canuck

Neil Young rules... I have some of his disks -- you may have heard this story already, but here goes...when he was recording "Tears are not enough" with David Foster et al., David Foster waited for Neil to finish his track and said "Hey that was a little flat... do you want to do it again"? Neil replied "do it again? man, that's my 'sound'".
