I just got a refurbished dreamcast for 15 bucks. Just curious as to anyone's experiences with them??

Apparently it can play burned CD-R games without modification, boot up disk, etc? Is this true?

i have downloaded a few games off of newsgroups,
but anyone know anywhere to pick up a few games or peripherals cheap?

reviews/recomendations, etc etc etc??

Yes the DC can play burned CD-R's. But the games needs to have certain files added to them in order for them to boot up on their own! My friend and I really got into the whole pirating DC games a couple years back! I have around 80 games for the DC, all on CD-R! All you need is blank CD-R's and a program called disc juggler to burn the CD Images! I have about 80 images on my computer. Simply fire up disc juggler and burn the image to the disc and you are in business. Right now a DC is probably one of the best systems to invest in! It has very good games and you can get almost all of them off the net! Shoot me a message and you can come to my ftp and download some games if you want. And if you need help on burning them I can explain that too. It is so simple to do once you have done it a few times!

 

I'd be interested in downloading your games as well if it would be alright. I had a DC but got rid of it, now I miss the crap out of it. Gotta get another one.

 

They sell used Dreamcasts here with a controller plus the hook-ups for 15.00 US. LOL! You shouldn't have too much of a problem buying another!

Here is my ftp. I do not have any games up right now because it takes so much damn space to have them all on my computer. But if you send me a private message with a few games that you are interested in from my list, I will put them on my site so you can download them. Otherwise I just have MP3's and some video's at my site!

Copy and paste that to your browser. Or you can just click it. I find sometimes that when I click it, it doesn't come up and I end up having to copy and paste! Just right click and "save", or "copy to folder" in order to download!
