arghhh damn canucks

I wasted a 24 pack of kokanee with my buddy only to watch the nucks playoff hopes ended by the Sj sharks... I think it's about time we traded naslund / bertuzzi before any hope of getting a decent player for them is gone.... anyone feel the same way?

Lightbulb

^ lol - true Leafs fan. It is all about them

As much as I liked the former Bertuzzi, I agree that he and Naslund should probably get traded if they have any value left. The Sudins/Carter are the new top line so why pay those two guys top scale?

Of course it goes without saying that Cloutier should get the shaft and the Canucks look for a good goalie - Auld is doing a fine job but he is not at the level of the top goaltenders.

Reality - nobody will get traded and we will repeat this year next year.

I'm not at bitter.....

but SJ's first goal was clearly a kicking motion!!!

That being said, how about we fire crawford first. Then work from there. No....picking up Pat Quinn is not a good move, and we don't wanna just trade coaches here. Lastly, what was the thought behind firing Brian Burke again??? Canucks are out, Ducks made the playoff's.

At least in the two games against SJ they showed some heart. It's sad, that guys like burrows have so much heart and just not all the skill i guess to do it on their own. Whereas guys like Bertuzzi (as much as i like him) have all the skill and ability, but just float around the ice. Naslund...didn't do much, but he has a no trade clause in his contract...so apart from threatening to retire and maybe retiring not much can be done.

Burke was let go b/c he rubbed the owners and some others in the media the wrong way...and he was not controllable like Noonis is.

Burke always did what he thought was right and damn the torpedoes...an attitude you can't really take with rich boys like the McCaws who are used to people doing what they tell them to do, a role Noonis certainly fills nicely.

I'm a Canuck fan and a Burke fan...and I'm happy to see Burke show them up b/c he was right... Ownership should stick to playing with their piles of money and leave the running of the hockey team to people who actually know what they're doing instead of doing what they're told.

...I am looking forward to "Craw and Bert gone...Craw has lost the respect of the players somewhere along the line (maybe Bert dissed him in front of the team and Craw couldn't put up a comeback)...I mean if you played for the canucks and the coach came on everynight after yet another loss and kept looking for the silver lining, it's like an admission that it's ok to lose. And that whiny wimpy voice....it would drive me bananas day after day. This team needs a Coach they're a little bit afraid of, and who is going to hold them accountable every night, sadly this was not something that happened all season.

Look at the brutal plus minus of the top line, combo'd with Bert always in the box on a lazy penalty. He needed to be benched ages ago. Somehow that Coach/Player relationship got reversed where the coach is now afraid of the player.
