I'd get the CRKT (Columbia River) B.U.L.L. knife.. stylish, and a very good knife. I'm really sad that I broke mine by using it as a prybar... or get the CRKT Plier knife... that thing is sweet
I collect knives - mostly folders. SpiderCo rocks (I carry an Endura daily) and a Delica is a great choice - not too large but for sure servicable. I used to carry a Delica with serrated blade before I got the Endura. I have a few other SpiderCo too. I suggest a 50/50 blade.
As an alternate, you should take a look at the Ken Onion line from Kershaw. I carry a red/black BLUR and the spring assisted opening is sweetass.

It's a little more than a Delica though - something like the Whirlwind or Leek is more the same money.
When I got married I chose to give personalized flasks - not too many people already own them and they are for sure handy.

I carry three knives on me at work at all times and I would say that except for collectors a knife is a pretty personal feel type of item. I would rather get a flask from my bud.
When you engrave mine make sure you spell my name correctly; it's Sean. Not Shaun and not Shaun. S.E.A.N..........................(sits by the mailbox awaiting invitation).
