When you engrave mine make sure you spell my name correctly; it's Sean. Not Shaun and not Shaun. S.E.A.N..........................(sits by the mailbox awaiting invitation).
are you sure its not spelled Shon?

As an alternate, you should take a look at the Ken Onion line from Kershaw. I carry a red/black BLUR and the spring assisted opening is sweetass.

It's a little more than a Delica though - something like the Whirlwind or Leek is more the same money.
How do you like the spyderco knives? I've looked at them, but I can't seem to find a blade profile I like with their stuff. Are they durable enough for hard daily useage?

I personally have had a few 50/50 blades, and I hate them with a passion, I prefer a straight blade, simply because for heavier cutting, it's really nice to be able to work close to the handle

I love my SpyderCo knives. I carried the Delica for 5 years, using it everyday, and it was flawless. I snapped 1/8" off the tip but that was my dumbass fault. Now, I've carried my Endura for 10 years (wanted a longer blade and thought I would like the 50/50) and I absolutely love it. I don't use it hard every day but it has never let me down when I need it.

I actually prefer a serrated blade. I do mostly wire work right and I love how sharp the valleys stay. I have a Goddard limited edition Spyderco and it is scary sharp - the serrations bite like needles. I have a permanent scar on my right thumb to remind me.. It's worth too much to carry daily though.

My BLUR I carry just cuz I find the spring action really neat. In two years I have never cut a single thing with it - that's what my Endura is for.

Ok... clearly I need to clarify... I'm looking for attendants gifts.. meaning the best man and ushers. Not everyone who shows up to the wedding will be getting a knife

Chunk... it's too bad you said you can't come, even before knowing the date.

The reception is going to be in the Grand Hall of the National Gallery of Canada.

The big glass peak thing is the Grand Hall.. should be awesome. The parliament buildings will be the backdrop when looking at the head table. (the 2nd pic is basically taken from the Parliament bldg)

Hrm... the Delica and Endura both look great. They also both come in a stainless steel which is good because that's what we wanted to go with (to have engraved)

Any other brands I should be looking at?

btw... to those suggesting a flask.. it's a great idea but neither the wife nor I are a big drinkers so we thought it would be a bit odd.

(and before you ask... no, we are not big "stabbers" either)
