Bands not so many people know about..

I've just been introduced to "The Coral" by a friend.. supposedly pretty big in england..I'd never heard of them before, nor had most of my friends. I quite like their sound [img]smile.gif[/img] What are some of your not so well known favourite bands?

Dope is one of my favorite bands, they had a song in fast n the furious when they're breaking in to jonny tran's house - that may have helped them to become a lil more popular but still not many peopl know about them.
good songs from them include:
die mf die
slipping away
thank you
and all of their one cd is pretty awesome the second cd isn't bad.
another band eventhough they only have one good song is...hmm crap...starts with a t....taproot and the name of the song is poem. It's a gooder and not many people seem to know it.
then again, maybe my friends are just all losers that they don't know these bands
