I agree, off topic has gotten a bit lame. But i personally never came to the site before, or after the changes for off topic.. i came for car audio and the community.

 

ditto...... maybe im just out of touch with the car audio forum but its 100% not a close knit and fun as it was 2 years ago if you ask me. Ive been a member since this site started back in like what '97 or '98 thats damn near 10years and Ive seen the best members come and go....mostly go which is a real shame but there is still plenty of interesting people kicking around to make the forum go. But I honestly think there is no more than 10 members from back then still active..... the only 2 I can name is myself and Dukk....and that old bastard ain't going anywhere if I know him

Not to specifically pick on you Logan but, really, has the board (I'm talking about the community, not specifically the owner or rules here) changed significantly or have you changed significantly?

A few years ago you were younger, single, competing in SPL - a young guy to whom car audio was important. Today, not so much. You're married, moving into your new house, a working man: an adult (although still a punk ) Do you even have a stereo in your cars? I'm not bagging on you man, just pointing out that people change over time and for most people car audio slides way down the priority list.

I have had other hobbies that I was huge into and let drift away as well - for some reason though I have just stuck with car audio. In fact, not a single one of my buddies that used to be into car audio back in the day still is. The only people I know that are still around work in the industry and fully half of them don't even have a full aftermarket system in their rides. Just the way it goes.

I have been a member and moderator of various car audio boards for the last eleven (damn... ) years and, really, the scene is the same, just the people change - well most of them anyway. I say enjoy your time here while it is important to you but don't expect 'the scene' to change because you do

 

Whatever happened to DodgeRam (I think that was his user name) who was out in the Prairies somewhere (I think)....????

 

^ Not sure. I assume another casualty of life. He got big into hopping up his diesel Ram and diesel Jetta - I assume that's where his interest went.

When you go on your stupid rants you aren't joking, you're just whining. So which do you think the mods/admins get tired of first? Someone who makes jokes (even though you may not get them) or someone who adds nothing constructive to the board except constant bitching and complaining??
