Beyond AUDIO x-15
#1
I wanted to know if my BA x-15 will be able to take 1000 watts rms ? i have a sub commin and its dual 2 ohm, so i wanna know if it can do it and take the power of my bmf1000d ?? lemme know what ya know. also , as for a ported box, what would rock the hell out of a j body style car ? for this sub.

They're excellent subs and I was going to use them. 1000rms for daily driving is a bit much to them. For spl burps sure.
The best results from a J-body for daily driving and street thumping are with the port and sub facing the back and tilted slightly up towards the trunk. To get the best numbers on the mic. though fire the sub and port into the cabin and seal off the trunk.

okay, well i didnt understand the website. it says something along the lines of 600 rms , so im guessing that means 300 per coil ? so if i bridge my sub to 1ohm on the amp it'll give roughly 500 per coil. just gotta turn the gains down half way or something eh ?

sure that would work. but i kinda wanna understand how to read this information ? for dvc's i have no ****ing clue if the rms power is per coil or entire thing or what. i've never understood this.

They are rated at 600 rms for the sub (300 per coil), but they will take 1000 if you have your subsonic filter set high and you arent abusing them. I had around 3000 watts going to a pair of 12's for burps and they took it nicely.
