ok,
so i'm not really trying to complain or anything, don't get me wrong, i love this forum and posting on it, and the stuff you learn, and the people you meet...

...but adding it all up, i spend a lot more time then i think i do on this forum. i try to stay current to all the topics, and make a content worthy post when i can add some intelligence to the thread or want to give "IMO"...

i usually go through the sections starting at the top with general and systematically go through roughly half of the sections, looking at the new topics, and refreshing myself on the recent ones in which i posted. working my all the way down to the donut shop where i usually find some of the "fun theads"...i always save the best for last.

but sometimes, like today, i'll start in the "gereral" section and then realize HOURS later that i'm just finishing the donut shop replies. i usually get side tracked a couple of times checking out sites, looking up info, going to the bathroom, getting some grub, *cough*checking out *****cough*, or chatting with a buddy.

but still by the time i'm finally caught up and up-to-date on the site, it's hours later, and i could basically start over again from the beginning and do it all over again!

does anyone else have this problem or am i just some weird forum junkie? some days i really try hard to keep in to a min. but still end up taking 20 mins or so! just think of all the install/testing that could have been done in that time! [img]graemlins/dunno.gif[/img]

 

I agree I waste too much time on here as well.

 

I have several forums I visit. I'd say this one occupies the 2nd or 3rd largest amount of time out of all the ones I visit.

 

i come here to occupie my self at school.

 

I hack it all the time. See whats new with shows coming up and if i got some questions about how to do something. or ideas i got.

Don't feel bad for rockin out though. give yourself a break. if you were to use all this time to test and stuff. youd be broke. and then on here.

Ya, welcome to the internet. It can suck ya in, just like cigarrettes. Once ya start, ya can't stop!

Just learn to "push away from the table" once in a while. Scan the threads for topics that catch your eye only, don't try to read everything all the time.

*grins* BTW, didja read my post about my remixes? Lotsa time wasters there!!!

Yeah...that's exactly why I disappear for months on end. I find this particular forum very addictive. Usually when I find that it's taking up to much time, I just stop checking in....then when I'm lookin' to buy something I come back and get sucked right back in.
I think it's lumina boy's posts...they're like heroin man.
