I'm thinking of getting a bike rack for my car (roof mount). Thule and Yakima come to mind..I'm also not made of $ at the moment and am looking for a cheaper model rack that will still do a half decent job.

Any ideas?

I should also mention that it has to be able to carry a mid size Kayak around as well (if at all possible).
