I've never seen real brass knuckles in stores, have seen some dumb fist fillers tho.

If your friend wants to get his *** beaten into next year then tell him to go ahead and get a set.
If you pull a set of those in a fight.. the other person(s) has full legal right to beat the ****ing snot out of you and send you to a hospital.. and theres nothing you(or in this case your friend) can do about it legally since YOU pulled the "deadly weapon" first.
oh yeah and by the way if you casually pull those out and use them on someone.. thats called assault with a deadly weapon.. and you'll REALLY get the book thrown at you then.
Just a few things to consider. The only time I'd EVER use one of those is if it was a few people on one.. and THEY started it first (and you can prove that) THEN you can pull out the weapons such as the brass knuckles.... since you were "defending yourself" that'll hold sway in court.
Anyway.. have fun getting has *** kicked or thrown in jail regardless..

came to the conclusion that a chainsaw with a very light, very long sword on the end would do the trick

If a had a pair I would never use them on someone. I dont even fight. That would be a neat thing to have kicking around though, just to have.
I dont think my friend would use them either. He would just be a moron getting his *** kicked running around with them. Would they be able to get sent over the border or would they be detected and stopped?
