bsl law in ontario
#2
Your a brave man posting about BSL here. I guess the members have had their fill, according to a couple of them. I think it's a very important topic worth discussing over & over again if need be, because it's effecting CANADIANS. I'm looking forward to what some people from Ontario have to say. I'm going to try & keep my mouth shut.
I wish you all the luck in the world & that's two beautiful dogs you have there. Sorry but I have to post a few more pix.....

Thanks, i love her very much. I just searched pitbull and man have you been defending them on here, way to go! People can be very harsh when believing the media hype and not actually seeing how an animal is managed in many situations. As any dog should be handled, mine are never left in a situation where trouble could start even if they were bad. I wouldn't leave a child alone with as much as 3 lb dog. They are not human and should be managed that way! How can my dog attack someone if it is on a leash 1ft away from me? My problem is off leashe dogs. Since we moved here my dogs are muzzled and leashed when walked, but i have had small medium and large breeds run out of their yard off leash, infact i had a golden lab, run through traffic across a road, and try to attack both my dogs and myself! Here we are, my wife with roxie shaking standing behind her and me with zeus in my arms trying to avoid the lab ,sceaming at it as it lunged at us! I had to yell at it to try to keep it at bay until the owner heard me! I didnt dare let either of my two be in the situation where the might even scratch the lab while defending themselves because then hell, front page news two PITBULLS attack a lab while onlookers watched in awe! The have a bad rap but you will never see mine in the news i love em too much!

Very good point all the gun laws did was make criminals out of the good folks in the country who were scared of new laws coming into effect and then not registering their firearms for fear of persecution. I wonder do they honestly think that by oulawing our breed that joe gangsta will stop owning a dog which he creates a monster from? I bet not! Great point!

AMEN both of you!
Thanks imntense, I have been around them my whole life, & they really need defending right now. In fact one of my best friends 60 year old mother just put her best friend in a yurn recently, an APBT that has been with her & around kids (she's a grandma) for over 12 years. Kind of sad, but towards the end for him he started going blind & hard of hearing. He would bark @ me like crazy defending his momma till I got close enough for him to see me, then his tail would start wagging. I really miss him too, I think I was his best human (for the record I prefer pits over humans) friend. She took him out in the public everyday, walked him religiously, she will not own any other breed. They truly are special to their owners.
Great to hear! Best of luck again out in Ont. I just showed my wife your pictures, she's in love with Roxie, she said "what a cutie!"

Isn't it funny how the only dogs we ever see in the news are the huge bulking monsters ears cropped and taught not only to look mean but also to be mean. I know a familly back on the east coast that would give their lives up for the breed i am sure. My friend mike had no less then 3 in his house the whole time he was growing up! His uncle has two, his other uncle has one and his sister has two and they have always taught them to be loving family members, These are just the dogs they own now this doesn't include the ones that have passed on! I remember my first time going to mikes i was terrified, now look at me i guess that goes to show ya need to meet a good one before you judge them all, just because a few are raised wrong. All of the pitties they owned over the years were well behaved and they have never even had as much as a nipping incident! My father in law was terrified to let his wife go to the east coast in fear my dogs would eat her whole. She came home alive, now that he has met them i can't seperate them, he treats them when he shouldn't and allows them to sleep with him if he gets the chance. At this point they are his grandchildren and he loves them!
