Can't sleep - unhappy the deal i made at FS now that i have time to think

Arg...ok so it's 3:16am. I can't sleep. I'm partially excited i get my new 55" tv on tues/wed and partially pissed off. Lookin for some advice or possibly even reassurance that i'm not just an idiot (on this particular issue).
Been lookin to buy this tv for a long time. Especially over the last 3 weeks. I went to all stores all over edmonton, and futureshop had the best price at $3149. Others at $3499 and $3999. I was talkin to the sales man, gave me his card and what not. Came back next week on my days off again, and was pretty sure the deal would go down. He checked stock, there was one on order - they weren't sure if it was for someone specifically or for the store. I tried to get a price up front. He was thinkin maybe $100-200 off the stand ($700-$800 regular) and probably only $20 or so off the tv making it $3129.
Anywho,I came in the next day to check on whether the tv coming in was stock or for a customer, and he didn't know yet. Said he'd call me on thurs (this was wed of last week). We somehow talked price more and he thru out $3200 with or plus the 3 or 5 year warranty. The "or" part kinda confused me, but i took it as meaning 3200 for the tv and the warranty. (warranty $500 regular for 5 years). So, i left saying yeah guaranteed i'd take the tv if the one coming in wasn't taken.
He called friday, it was mine if i wanted it. I worked my 4 10h days and got a chance to come in this morning (monday). He even called to make sure i wanted it just before i was about to leave the house. Got to the store and i was pretty excited at this point about getting a new tv. Picked up the tv, stand, warranty, y cable (for pc to receiver audio) 2 dvd's, splitter, cheap coaxial cable, and remote.
He had to talk to his manager a few times on price and stuff. Price of the tv on the shelf had gone up to $3499 yesterday, and now apparenlty was at $3899. He asked me what we'd talked about for the tv, i said 3200 including warranty. We did the bill up, kinda went thru a big thing about price matching the harmony remote to an online place. This was all new to them (in store) he hadnt technically had the training on it yet. His boss, him and myself checked and the online price was $235 in BC, plus shipping, we agreed on $275 for it (FS reg $349). Finished everything on the receipt and the total was $5200 or so. Seemed high for some reason, went thru it a bit, switched out the y-cable for a cheaper one. Still seemed kinda high, but i guess it was correct. I was thinkin like $4500.
I ended up takin a demo stand, which i was fine with. While he was out getting packaging i checked out hte receipt a lil closer, he charged me $500 for warranty. So i spoke up and said yeah you charged me for warranty instead of including it. He said no it was never included. I agreed, i probably misunderstood him the other day (he did say "$3200 w/3 or 5 year". Why would he give me a choice of length if it was included? Ok my mistake it was always ontop).
So whatever...got home, started rearranging my room, found out the y-cable to come from soundcard to pc ended with male rca's. I needed some rca couplers in order to connect my rca's to that y-cable and to the receiver. Also thought i grabbed the wrong calibration dvd. Went back, got the couplers i needed and i was good.
Rearranged my room, and i'm stoked everything worked out really well. Played a game of poker and finally have gone to bed, when i began thinking. The tv was $3149 when i originally started lookin. I agreed to $3200 cause i thought that included the warranty. Lookin at my receipt, i paid $3299 for the tv plus the warranty. Now this can't be right. I'll accept the fact that i misunderstood the salesman. But if the tv was originally $3149 and he mentioned probably $20 off, so $3130, how the hell am i now paying $3299???
I plan to go back tommorrow (Tues) and talk to Customer Care/Returns people. I'm gonna request i be credited to the difference of $3299, price i paid, and $3149, price 1 week or so ago when i started looking.
Sorry for the long story, but what are your views.
- Am i screwed and should learn a valuable lesson to look over a bill more carefully before paying for it??
- Yes i screwed up, but see'n as the TV was $3149 two weeks ago when i began looking (delay in buying the tv wasn't exactly my fault - but availability) i should at work be paying that price for the tv? (i don't even care about the $20 deal he was gonna give me anymore on the tv as thats he-said/she-said basis).
Please put your thoughts on the whole matter in. Do i have a good case? Or is this simply a lesson learned?

Or simply acting like you don't want the tv anymore and are going to bring it back will probably have them willing to talk about things with you at least. That's a big sale and I'm sure they'd rather talk about something that can benefit you a little more rather then have them simply lose the sale all together.

goto the general manager tell him that you agreed to the 3200 with the sales guy and then he gouged you in the end. they will give you your money back and maybe a gift card or something. they will pretty much do whatever to keep you from returning that tv.

I definitely want the tv...i'm frickin stoked about it. If this is the deal, it's the deal! I wish i wouldn't have been so excited an dlooked over things more though.
Technically i dont have the tv yet. Gets delivered tommorrow, gonna try and get it done today. I have the stand...thats all.
Anywho, i'm gonna whip down there....have a talk with them, hopefully i'm not the only one that remembers the $3150 price and they'll refund the diff.

I see two sides. First is your side - you talked to the guy and it was $3149. You came back and expected $3149 but did not get it.
Second is the store's side - they had a SALE on and you went in and looked while it was on sale but did not buy it until AFTER the sale was over. I used to get this all the time and unfortunately a Sales Promotion is exactly that and when it is over, really, it should be over..
I would for sure try to get the difference back but if you don't - be consoled buy the fact that at $3299 it was still as cheap as you found it anywhere else right?
