Did you guys see that last night. That dirty bastard just sucker punched Steve Moore and bashed his face into the ice. I hate Todd even more now.

NEW YORK - Vancouver Canucks forward Todd Bertuzzi has been suspended indefinitely, without pay, after being assessed a Match penalty for deliberate injury of Colorado Avalanche forward Steve Moore during NHL Game #1028 Monday night.
The penalty was assessed at 8:41 of the third period.

A hearing will be conducted Wednesday at 9 a.m., ET, at the League's Toronto office.

Getting worse for the Canucks/Avs. Apparently Bertuzzi broke Moore's neck. Damn. He will definatley be out for the rest of the season, if not longer. There is also a criminal investigation being held...yikes...but it was a ****nig cheap shot if I've ever seen one.

 

It's completely blown out of proportion. Yes he did sucker punch him in the face. But all the damage was done when Moore hit the ice. If you watch the video you will see that Bertuzzi fell on him. he didn't slam his face into the ice. It was a sucker punch and he should be suspended 3-4 days. A criminal investigation is absolute overkill.

 

The fact that the broken neck happened when he hit the ice means nothing. His injuries resulted from Todd acting recklessly. He should be suspended accordingly.

Hell I would say this is worse than what happened with McSorley because Brashear didn't get hurt 1/2 as bad.

 

AND brashear was wearing his helmet like a handicap...bertuzzi is an idiot, and it takes no ***** at all to pull something like that off. I hope the league kicks him out, and he goes to jail. There's no room for stuff like that in sports, revenge or not.

PS: look at the hit on naslund. There was an elbow, but at least the puck was in play..Naslund shouldn't have his head down anyways

also, if bertuzzi hadnt of RIDDEN HIM INTO THE ICE!!!! it probably wouldnt have been as bad.

 

I was looking for a clip online, but coulnd't find one. Watch TSN and sportsnet, they just keep showing it. Todd has played his last NHL game. they kicked out mcsorely, so there is no way that they will let this ******** stay.
So a guy takes a cheap shot at one of my buddies, that makes it okay for me to break his neck which will end my career.
What was he thinking.

 

you guys have to remember...thats what bertuzzi gets paid to do.
