Not long ago I posted about xmas not being what it used to be,how I didn't really care too much anymore and several people agreed...Thanks for your input..
In that thread I also mentioned,to noone's notice,that my Mom had called and told me she was coming for Christmas.Even then I was still in a "well, la-dee-da"state of mind..
That was till the last couple days..
I've realized how special this xmas will be for me and her.Our first together since my Dad passed away in 01,our first christmas in MY home,our first christmas together in since 2000!!
I'm so excited about this xmas now!!
I've been hanging what little christmas decorations I have,and Rob VO has helped me put together a "SPL Xmas Tree"made of MDF and will be decorated with tweeters,speaker wire and RCA cables(Right now I cant really afford to buy a tree,and its also a project I've had in mind for some time)!!
Now the only questions I have now are:
A:Will I survive the bear hug at the airport?
&
B:How do I gift wrap the exhaust system for her car?
Anyway...

Congrats on catching the spirit, I know it can be hard some times but that's what this whole season is supposed to be about... remembering the past and sharing with those close to us the future.

I'll post pics when its done...and I kinda doubt it will play music...not this year anyway...I got too much on the go to get ready for Mom...
Its not a big thing either....17"Tall and 8 or 9" wide at the base...Seeing as I have a small little place and it will be just Mom and I,I figure it should be big enough..

Ok...To start..I know its a really really crappy pic...but I own a really really crappy digicam(bought it for $20 at xscargo 2 years ago)...
But heres a pic of the tree right after the second coat of "Grabber Green"...
I hope it comes thru...hate the stupid like red x...lol...

BUT....(drum roll please)...
THE TREE IS DONE....sort of....
Its decorated with 2 1"Pyramid tweeters,a length of blue RCA cable,a length of red Stinger power wire,Red ***** painted on with some touch up paint,and some blue *****(no jokes guys)that are small dollops of blue silicone...and the star on top is a small mirror ball...
