I downloaded a few shows for the wife, but want to put them onto dvd for her so she doesn't have to watch them on the computer does anyone have a program that actually works? I tried WinAvi Converter, as well has Nero 6 reloaded and Nero is' useless always freezes up, Winavi decides to stop encoding when it feels like it. Whats some ideas here? I tried that TMPGenc but u need like 4 other programs to work with it...

I use Tempenc and didn't have to use other programs with it..theres also one called dvd converter I think..they advertised it on tech TV..i tried it and it was really easy, but cost cash to do a movie longer than a minute..tempenc demo works so I uninstalled the other program..i'll check tech TV's site and get you the proper name..

I tried using TMPGEnc which the movie quality was perfect but how to get the sound to burn with the video into dvd format, I put in the dvd and got just the Tv show but no sound? But the receiver detects some sort of digital feedback for sound but nothing actually comes out.

well ur suggestion or TMPGenc has worked lol, when ur using the program are you using it to convert just normal mpeg? These files I am trying to convert are Xvid with Ac3 also done in HD 1024*576 I think so I am wondering if it's cause of the codec being used.. I am checked out VCDhelp but there's so much **** to try , by the time I figure it out I would have my pc loaded with spyware lol.

you know xvid and divx are a pain in the butt..I tried to do the chappelle show season 1 (which was xvid) I got the no sound problem also and to tell you the truth I just gave up trying..I use tempenc for my camera movies so I can play them in DVD players..but they are an mpg to begin with so it's quite easy..i've also done WMV's through tempenc without a problem..divx and xvid are just a pain..but if you do find a resolution then I would appreciate it if you told me lol..
